200 killed in Greater Kurdistan earthquake

At least two hundred people have been killed in Sunday’s earthquake that struck Greater Kurdistan, the Kurdish website Kurdistan24.com has reported.

The majority of the deaths are said to have occurred in the Iranian occupied Kurdish region of Rojhilat, whilst in the autonomous Kurdistan Region in the North of Iraq dozens have died.

According to Kurdistan Regional Government sources, doctors are struggling to treat the injured as a result of the medical embargo imposed by the Iraqi central government.
