286 days on, justice remains elusive

The vigil staged by the relatives of the disappeared in Vavuniya has entered its two hundred and eighty sixth day today.

Yet, justice continues to remain elusive, with the Sri Lankan government remaining adamant that it has no secret detention camps and is unable to reveal the fate of those made to disappear by its military, protesters have lamented.

Similar vigils are being held in Killinochi and the southern districts Tamil Eelam.
