Killinochi protesters feel betrayed

Relatives of Tamils made to disappear in Killinochi have accused the Tamil National Alliance of betraying them.

A vigil launched on 20 February in Killinochi, by the relatives of the disappeared, demanding concrete answers from the Sri Lankan government on the fate of their loved ones has entered its 52nd day.

Yet, leaders of the Tamil National Alliance have so far refrained from raising the concerns of the protesters with the Sri Lankan government, leading to many of them feeling betrayed by their elected representatives.
