New constitution is a dream – Sri Lankan minister

A Sri Lankan cabinet minister has admitted that the new constitution making process has become a dream.

Speaking at an event held in Colombo on Tuesday, Mr Mano Ganeshan said the unity government would not be able to enact a new constitution because by the time it is able to do so its term would have come to an end.

‘I personally feel there is a need for a new Constitution as there are so many problems to be solved,’ he added.
