Sri Lankan government demolishes Hindu temple, constructs a Buddhist temple in its place

The Sri Lankan government has demolished a Hindu temple in Thennamaravadi, Manalaaru.


Activists who made a visit to Thennamaravadi Murugan Temple were shocked to find the Hindu temple demolished and a Buddhist temple being built in its place.


A board has also been found at the premises of the Murugan temple claiming that it belongs to Sri Lanka's archeological department.
