Tamils optimistic of international justice for genocide – Wigneswaran

The Chief Minister of Northern Tamil Eelam has said Tamils remain optimistic that the international community will serve them justice for genocide.

Speaking at the Tamil Genocide remembrance  event held at Mullivaikal, Mr C.V.Wigneswaran said in the island of  Sri Lanka those who kill are punished not for their crimes but on the basis of the race they belong to.

This is what Sri Lanka’s rulers mean when they say not a single soldier will be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity, the Chief Minister of Northern Tamil Eelam lamented.

Yet, it is with the hope that one day the international community will serve them justice that Tamils show tolerance at the international community’s slow pace of action on the crime of genocide committed by Sri Lanka, he added.
