Toronto Mayor pays tribute to victims of Mullivaikal genocide

John Tory, the Mayor of Toronto, Canada, visited Mullivaikal, Mullaithivu, on Sunday and paid tribute to the victims of Tamil genocide.

The Mayor was accompanied by the Northern Chief Minister C.V.Wigneswaran, Northern Agricultural Minister P.Ayngaranesan, NPC member T.Ravikaran and Toronto city councillors Michael Thompson and Neethan Shan.

Mr Tory laid wreaths at the site of Mullivaikal genocide and lit the flame of sacrifice.

The Mayor then travelled to Mullaithivu, where he briefly spoke with the relatives of those made to disappear by the Sri Lankan state.
